De Kuyper Royal Distillers has added a coffee-themed extension to its wine-based liqueur brand ChocoVine in the US.
ChocoVine Espresso, which carries an ABV of 14%, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from France with Dutch chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Rolling out to 22 US states, including California, New York and Texas, the new expression is being positioned to capitalise on increased consumer interest in “coffee cocktails”, according to the family-owned brand owner.
Available in the off-premise channel, ChocoVine Espresso has an SRP of US$12.99.
As well as ChocoVine, De Kuyper also owns the namesake cocktail liqueurs portfolio. The company’s US division, Royal Dutch Distillers, operates out of Miami.
Earlier in the Summer, Global Drinks Intel magazine noted that aperitifs and liqueurs with Mediterranean cues are surrounded by growth opportunities during the hotter months.
