Drinks brands ‘back-office’ provider MHW has released details of the next iteration of its brand pitch competition, the winner of which will receive support to either debut – or grow its existing presence – in the US.

‘Make Your Mark with MHW’, which debuted last year, returns for 2023, with US$15,000 worth of US importation and distribution services up for grabs. The activation opens for entries on 17 September, with the winner being announced at this year’s Bar Convent Berlin trade exhibition in October.

The judges include:

  • Deborah Brenner, founder & CEO of Women of the Vine & Spirits and Diverse Powered Brands
  • Amanda Blue, COO of San Francisco Wine & Spirit Competition
  • Gary Gruver, Marriott Hotels’ director of beverage, global, US & Canada
  • Shayne Hoyne, director of Altos Planos, and
  • Olly Wehring, Global Drinks Intel digital editor

“The combination of our expertise and support makes ‘Make Your Mark’ … a great opportunity for a young brand,” said CEO Ryan O’Hara. “We can provide international brands [with] an equal, open opportunity to launch their products in the most lucrative market in the world.”

As well as the support package, the winner will also receive an ‘associate corporate’ membership to Women of the Vine & Spirits, worth $2,500, for “business development and networking”.

The deadline for entries is 24 September. Full details can be viewed here.
