Born in Venezuela, a tropical and diverse land between the Andes Mountains and the Caribbean Sea, Diplomático’s production process begins with locally-sourced sugar cane that is transformed into sugar cane molasses It is then fermented and expertly distilled in a family distillery with authenticity, craftsmanship and care, using three different distillation methods.
Every drop is then barrel-aged to reach its optimum maturity in the humid, ocean-influenced air. The different distillation styles, cask types and maturation times come together to be artfully blended into Diplomático´s complex, delicious and smooth-tasting rums.

Crafted with supreme skill for the ultimate taste experience, Ambassador is an exclusive blend crafted from rums aged in ex-bourbon and -whiskey casks, then 100% finished in precious sherry barrels including Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and Amontillado.
This robust blend has a majority of flavourful heavy rums from our copper pot still, complemented by dark fruit notes from the sherry finishing. The blend is available in very limited quantities for discerning drinkers and connoisseurs.
