Vinolok is introducing its new Pharma collection, bringing together traditional glassmaking craftsmanship and contemporary design inspired by laboratory and pharmaceutical glassware. Developed primarily for premium spirits, the collection responds to the growing popularity of bottles with distinctive wide necks and an aesthetic reminiscent of apothecary and laboratory vessels.

Laboratory inspiration meets contemporary design

The aesthetic of so-called pharma bottles is becoming increasingly prominent in the premium spirits sector. Characterised by wide necks, clean proportions and references to laboratory and apothecary vessels, these bottles create a distinctive visual language. The Pharma collection responds to this trend with a range of glass closures designed to complement this distinctive bottle style.

For Vinolok, glass has a natural connection to this aesthetic. Its material neutrality and distinctive properties have been central to the concept of glass closure since the brand was established. The Pharma collection translates this inspiration into a contemporary design tailored to the needs of premium brands.

“The closure is one of the elements of a bottle that consumers notice, touch and actively interact with,” says Vinolok sales director Radan Haiblík. “Beyond its functional role, it can also make a significant contribution to product identity and brand communication. The Pharma collection develops this idea through distinctive design and extensive personalisation options.”

Six new designs

The Pharma collection comprises six new designs – Ago, Opus, Sol, Philos, Atlas and Vista. Each interprets the inspiration of laboratory glass in its own distinctive way.

Sol features softly rounded lines, while Opus offers a broad top surface that provides ample space for bold personalisation. Philos and Atlas are defined by more robust, geometric proportions. Vista stands out with its taller, vertical silhouette, while Ago takes a compact, minimalist approach.

The collection was developed in collaboration with DSIGNTANK studio in Barcelona. The partnership brings together the studio’s expertise in design and trend forecasting within the premium packaging sector and Vinolok’s long-standing know-how in glassmaking craftsmanship.

Designed for personalisation

Like other Vinolok glass closures, the Pharma collection offers extensive options for decoration and personalisation. These include metal stickers, metal coins, top-side printing, coloured sealing rings, and transparent or opaque colour coatings.

Individual elements can be combined to reflect the character of a particular brand and bottle. The closure can therefore serve as a distinctive standalone feature or become an integral part of the product’s overall visual identity.

Designed with the packaging lifecycle in mind

Glass is the core material of the new Pharma collection. Vinolok glass closures are recyclable, as confirmed by an independent assessment of a clear Vinolok closure carried out by Circpack® by Veolia. The closure received Ready to Recycle certification and was awarded recyclability class A.

The Pharma collection therefore builds on the defining concept behind Vinolok glass closures while preserving their essential material identity – glass.
