Eight years on from commencing operations, The Borders Distillery has unveiled what it claims is the "first whisky distilled in the Scottish Borders since 1837"

Scotch whisky, single malt, Lowland. Eight years old, matured in first-fill ex-bourbon then finished for an unspecified period in ex-malmsey madeira, 46% ABV
On sale from 24 September in the UK off-premise initially ahead of “international distribution to follow”
SRP of GBP46 (US$62) per 70cl bottle, limited to 10,000 units in total
