Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 17 November.


Copenhagen Distillery's Refined No.3
The iteration is "matured in virgin and specially seasoned Hungarian oak casks"

Copenhagen Distillery’s Refined No. 3

  • Single malt whisky, Denmark, aged for unspecified period in Hungarian oak, 58.3% ABV
  • Available to purchase in the UK from The Whisky Exchange, as well as leading other whisky retailers worldwide and online in northern Europe via the Copenhagen Distillery website
  • SRP of GBP190 (US$250) per 70cl bottle, limited to 1,362 bottles

Destilería Serrallés’ Don Q Double-Aged Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish

Don Q's Selección Exclusiva line has a new addition that looks to "honour tradition while embracing tradition", according to Serrallés master blender Silvia Santiago
  • Rum, Puerto Rico, aged for “a minimum of” seven years in American white oak ex-bourbon, then finished for 11 months in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry, 44% ABV
  • Released in the US this week, available through “selected” off-premise operators as well as online for domestic delivery
  • SRP not immediately available, limited to 2,000 units

This is the third and final bottling from the Bardstown Bourbon Co unit's namesake brand's Distillery Reserve "small-batch explorations" series this year

  • American whiskey, bourbon, Kentucky. Comprises a blend of 12- and 13-year-old liquid that spent 28 months in five ex-calvados barrels from the Christian Drouin house prior to an unspecified period in new American oak, 52.1% ABV
  • On sale from ‘Black Friday (28 November) at Bardstown Bourbon’s distillery gift shop and at the company’s tasting room in Louisville, Kentucky
  • SRP of US$99.99 per 37.5cl bottle, available in limited (unspecified) quantities

Pernod Ricard’s Ballantine’s 40 Year Old Masterclass Collection: Chapter Three ‘The Moment’

Ballantine’s 40 Year Old Masterclass Collection: Chapter Three ‘The Moment’
This marks the third of five releases in the Ballantine's collection, following 'The Remembering' and 'The Waiting'
  • Scotch whisky, blended, aged for 40 years, bottled at cask strength
  • Available globally from this month at specialist retailers
  • SRP of US$13,000 per 70cl bottle, limited to 108 unit

Rémy Cointreau’s Bruichladdich Black Art Sapero

Taking its name from the Latin verb ‘sapere’, meaning ‘to know’ or ‘to discern’, this first bottling in Bruichladdich's Black Art line will be updated annually with single malts that similarly will not disclose details beyond their age and ABV

  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Islands (Islay), 19 years old, 47.8% ABV
  • Launching this month as a global travel retail channel exclusive, initially for a month at Singapore Changi T4 with Lotte Duty Free ahead of a wider channel roll-out
  • SRP not immediately available

Rémy Cointreau’s Mount Gay Silver

Despite its unaged appearance, the Silver iteration of Mount Gay includes liquid that has been matured for two years
  • Rum, Barbados (molasses sourced from unspecified Caribbean nations). Comprises unaged spirit produced in a column still blended with two-year-old pot still-distilled rum that has been aged in ex-American whiskey. The blend is double-filtered, once through charcoal, 37.5% ABV
  • Expanding presence to the UK from this week, exclusively to the country’s on-premise channel
  • SRP of GBP25 (US$33) per 70cl bottle

Diageo’s Mortlach Neverbound – Release 01

Mortlach Neverbound - Release 01 bottle and box
The Neverbound series from Mortlach debuts with a first iteration that uses casks sourced from France for its finishing process
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Speyside, no age statement. Matured in refill ex-American oak and then finished in French oak, 50.8% ABV
  • Released this month in the global travel retail channel, also domestically in Asia Pacific markets including Hong Kong & Macau, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam
  • SRP of US$120 per bottle
