WhistlePig Whiskey has secured another external appointment to its C-suite, this time as its marketing lead.
Stephen Carberry, who stepped away from Moët Hennessy in the US seven months ago, has joined the Vermont-based distiller and brand owner as CMO. Although details of who Carberry (below) is replacing were not disclosed, previous CMO Sarah Long, who started in the role three years ago, left WhistlePig last year, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Carberry joined Moet Hennessy from Pernod Ricard in 2016, having spent three years working across Jameson and then with the Chivas Brothers scotch whisky division in London. At MH, he worked on brands including Belvedere vodka, Veuve Clicquot champagne and Hennessy itself, all in the US, before leaving in March.
Four months ago, WhistlePig welcomed a new CEO, as Charles Gibb assumed the position from mixer business Fever-Tree. Gibb, who replaced Jeff Kozak as company head, also worked for Moët Hennessy, from 2003 to 2017.
