Riboli Family Wines has appointed seasoned wine executive and current senior VP of sales Paul Roberts as its CCO.
The company, which owns the Stella Rosa Italian wine and brandy brand, announced the internal promotion this week, with Roberts (below) moving up after four years in his current role. Details of who he is replacing as the commercial lead were not disclosed; Global Drinks Intel has contacted Riboli for clarification.
Roberts’ beverage alcohol career commenced in 1995, when he joined Johnson Brothers Liquor Co. In 2000, he moved to Gallo – then known as E&J Gallo Winery – before starting a 20-year stint with New York state’s Banfi Vintners in 2001. The move to California and to Riboli occurred in May 2021.
“Since joining our team, he has established a strong national sales structure, negotiated impactful distributor partnerships and positioned us for long‑term growth,” said group CEO – and family member – Steve Riboli. “Elevating him to CCO is both a reflection of his impact on the company to date as well as a strategic move as we expand our portfolio and strengthen our presence in key markets.”
The extension of the Stella Rosa mark into brandy was announced in 2022 and was followed almost a year later by an expansion of the three-strong portfolio to more states across the US.
