Chinola Fresh Fruit Liqueurs has penned a distribution deal with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, covering the global travel retail channel as well as the domestic markets in the Caribbean and Central America.
The tie-up sees Chinola expand its presence among unspecified airport and cruise port retail operators in its home country, the Dominican Republic. The liqueur’s portfolio will also go on sale at “major” cruise lines and duty-free stores in the two regions.
Global Drinks Intel has asked the namesake company to specify the Caribbean and Central American markets that it has entered.
Founded in 2014, Chinola’s line, which comprises Mango, Passion Fruit and Pineapple flavours, is available in the US in 75cl bottles at 21% ABV. The SRP, according to the brand’s website, is US$32.99 per bottle.
In March, Southern Glazer’s promoted Jennifer Chaplin Tolkin to lead its division that oversees Campari Group-owned brands.
