US-based beverage alcohol distributor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has promoted Jennifer Chaplin Tolkin to lead its Campari Group division.
Chaplin Tolkin will become MD of the dedicated unit from the start of April, replacing Garrett McGuiness who will assume a new internal position, the nature of which Southern Glazer’s did not reveal. The company will commence an internal and external search for Chaplin Tolkin’s former role as VP of commercial sales for the Campari portfolio.
Having worked at Southern Glazer’s since 2017, Chaplin Tolkin was working on the Campari portfolio when the group extended its partnership with the distributor in 2022. In 2015, Campari America – the brand owner’s US division – signed a distribution agreement spanning 23 markets with Southern Wine & Spirits of America, which later merged with Glazer’s to become Southern Glazer’s.
“Jennifer’s passion, leadership and strategic mindset have been instrumental in strengthening our supplier relationships and enhancing our commercial success,” said Southern Glazer CEO Wayne Chaplin. “We are incredibly proud of her achievements and are excited to see the impact she will make in this role.”
Earlier this week, Campari Group followed last year’s divisional restructuring with the appointment of a head for its ‘Tequila & Mexican Spirits’ unit.
