Molson Coors Beverage Co has employed sloths for its latest Coors Light campaign, titled ‘Case of the Mondays’.
A 30-second advert will appear during broadcasts of the Super Bowl on 9 February in both the US and Canada. Molson Coors created the campaign after suffering its own ‘Case of the Mondays’ last month, when it released a series of adverts in North America that included a typo.
“For weeks, we’ve been bringing this idea of ‘Case of the Mondays’ to life for fans across the country, all leading up to the big reveal,” said Molson Coors’ marketing VP for Canada, Leslie Malcolm. “We’re thrilled to debut our new English and French spots, ensuring all Canadian fans get the same Big Game ad experience this year.”
Limited-edition packs of Coors Light called Mondays Light will go on sale in both markets in time for “possibly the worst Monday of the year” immediately after the Super Bowl.
Last week, Molson Coors acquired a minority stake in UK-based mixer business Fever-Tree, paying GBP71m (US$88m) for an 8.5% share.
The group, which posted a flat sales performance from the first nine months of 2024 in November, is scheduled to announce its full-year results on 13 February.
