Fifth Generation has appointed Zamora Co to distribute its Tito’s Handmade Vodka brand in Spain, Andorra and Gibraltar.
Tito’s joins the distributed brands in the Licor 43 owner’s Iberia unit, which includes Ron Abuelo rum, Don Ramon tequila and champagne Pommery. When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a company spokesperson said that Tito’s has been distributed in Spain previously by Ibiza-based Martin’s Brands.
Tito’s MD of international operations, John McDonnell, said: “With their rich history, deep commitment to the industry, and strong reputation in the market, we’re excited Tito’s Handmade Vodka has joined the Zamora Co Iberia portfolio.”
Zamora’s Iberia director, Carlos Gallego, added: “This decision is aligned with our strategy to strengthen our presence in categories where we do not compete directly with the most established brands. In addition, it reinforces our commitment to meet the demands of our customers by expanding our portfolio with premium spirits of the highest quality.”
This time last year, Fifth Generation completed another distribution partner change, choosing Spirit Cartel in the UK. Before that, the US-based company announced plans to roll the vodka brand out to Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovakia.
Fifth Generation is one of the few international vodka brand owners not to venture into RTDs; In mid-2023, the privately-owned company opted for a can-based promotion in the US designed to “further reinforce” its “commitment not to make a canned cocktail”.
