Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 7 October.


Bottle of Cloud House rum-based coffee liqueur

International Beverage’s Speyburn Kentucky Bourbon Cask, Bordeaux Red Wine Cask and Jerez Sherry Cask

  • Scotch whisky, single malts, Speyside, no age statements. Kentucky Bourbon has been aged in first-fill ex-bourbon casks from Kentucky, Bordeaux Red Wine has been matured in ex-cabernet sauvignon and -merlot casks, while Jerez Sherry started off in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in ex-fino, -manzanilla and -oloroso sherry casks. All have a 40% ABV
  • On sale exclusively in the global travel retail channel from early next year
  • SRPs of GBP35 (US$45), GBP40 and GBP49, respectively, per 1-litre bottle
Bottles of and boxes for the GTR-only line from Speyburn
International Beverage has revised the GTR presence of Speyburn to just these three iterations, aimed at consumers less familiar with the single malt scotch segment

MG Destilerías’ Le Tribute Countryside – Limited Edition

  • Gin, contains a blend of distillates of single botanicals including black cardamom, lavender, sage and lemongrass
  • Rolling out from 17 October to off-premise outlets in markets across northern Europe and in the US as well as in the global travel retail channel
  • Limited to 7,000 units in total; 4,000 bottles with giftbox – SRP of EUR75 (US$82) – and 3,000 cases with two glasses – EUR90

Spain's MG Destilerías will debut the first in this new annual limited edition gin at BCB in Berlin later this month

Elixir Distillers’ Black Tot Historic Solera

  • Rum, comprising a blend of liquids sourced from Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica that has been matured for “up to” two years in ex-oloroso and -pedro ximénez sherry butts, then run through a three-tier (one year in each) solera process, 46.2% ABV
  • Launching in the UK later this month through selected off-premise outlets
  • SRP of GBP64.95 (US$85) per 70cl bottle

The permanent addition to Black Tot's portfolio has been matured for a total of around five years

Whyte & Mackay’s The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Port Edition – Limited Edition

  • Scotch whiskies, single malts, Highlands. Three expressions, comprising 27-, 30- and 43-year-old single malts. All three have been matured in ex-bourbon casks then each finished in an ex-Graham’s single harvest tawny port cask from 1997, 1994 and 1952, respectively. ABVs of 49.3%, 43.9% and 41.8%, again respectively
  • Available worldwide since the beginning of this month
  • SRP of GBP35,000 (US$45,830) per set, limited to 150
The Dalmore Cask Curation Series Port Edition
This is the second in The Dalmore's Cask Curation series, which is lined up to conclude with its fourth in 2026

Edrington’s The Macallan Guardian Oak, Vibrant Oak – Limited Editions

  • Scotch whisky, single malts, Speyside, no age statements. Guardian Oak has been matured in first-fill “sherry-seasoned” European and refill ex-sherry oak casks, Vibrant Oak in first-fill “sherry-seasoned” American and refill ex-sherry oak casks, both 44.2% ABV
  • Guardian Oak is a global travel retail exclusive, while Vibrant Oak is available through domestic off-premise channels, both from 1 November
  • SRP for Vibrant Oak of GBP160 (US$210) per 70cl bottle in the UK, Guardian Oak SRP not immediately available

The two no-age-statement expressions are this year's bottlings in The Macallan's annual Harmony Collection series, which commenced in late 2021

Rémy Cointreau’s Mount Gay 24_02_Vt18d2 – Limited Edition

  • Rum, Barbados. Distilled using sugar cane from the 2018 sugar cane harvest, then aged in ex-bourbon barrels, 55% ABV
  • Released this month, on sale online for global delivery
  • SRP of GBP337 (US$440) per 70cl bottle, limited to 5,418 units

Mount Gay's Single Estate line has its first vintage: 24 represents the release year, 02 the release number in the series. Vt18 stands for Vintage 18 and d2 denotes that distillates from two pot still distillations have been blended together

Mark Anthony Group’s Cloud House

  • Coffee liqueur, rum-based (Colombia), 31% ABV
  • Available online to UK consumers through Amazon from this week
  • SRP of GBP32 (US$42) per 70cl bottle
