Constellation Brands is looking to add five more spirits brands to its offering in Canada following the agreement of a distribution tie-up in the country with Topikos Spirit & Beverage Co.

As part of the new arrangement, announced this week, Toronto-based Topikos will handle the debuts of two tequilas, two American whiskies and a vodka from Constellation’s portfolio in the coming weeks. The brands will sit alongside Conecuh Brands’ Próspero Tequila and Delta Spirits Co’s Ren vodka on Topikos’ roster.

The new additions and their respective expressions heading to Canada are:

  • Casa Noble – Blanco, Reposado and Añejo
  • Mi Campo – Blanco and Reposado
  • High West – Bourbon, Double Rye, Campfire, Bourye, Rendezvous, A Midwinter Night’s Dram, Cask Collection Barbados Rum Barrel Finished Bourbon and High Country American Single Malt
  • Nelson’s Green Brier – Nelson Brothers Classic Bourbon, Nelson Brothers Reserve Bourbon and Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey, and
  • Svedka Vodka

“When it came to identifying the right Canadian distributor and broker for this portfolio, we knew it had to be a partner that aligned with … our consumer-centric dedication,” said Constellation’s Canada VP for wine & spirits, Taylor Marancos. “The Topikos team, with decades of industry experience, brings both the expertise and pursuit of growth that aligned with Constellation’s.”

Topikos, which commenced operations in early 2023, was co-founded by Diageo’s former GM for Canada, Peter Kourtis.

Eight years ago, Constellation offloaded its Canadian wine operations to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, a transaction the group said at the time “aligns with the company’s focus on driving higher growth, higher-margin business activities and its capital allocation strategy, which includes … making select, value-creating acquisitions … “.
