Romania’s Alexandrion Group has lined up a raft of market entries for its Carpathian single malt whisky brand.
The multi-spirits category brand owner, which also counts Kreskova Vodka and Saber Elyzia fruit liqueur within its portfolio, has secured distribution for Carpathian in Germany and the UK. In the latter, the whisky is available now at alcohol-specialist outlet Milroy’s in London, where four iterations are priced at GBP66 [US$80] per bottle.
“Carpathian is progressing well,” a group spokesperson said. “We now have distribution in Romania, Cyprus, Greece, Brazil, France, Ireland, Djibouti and Norway. We will also announce a new distributor for Germany in the coming weeks.”
Looking forward, the brand, which Alexandrion claims is Romania’s first single malt whisky, expects to roll out to other countries, including Australia, Japan, Spain and the US, in the next six months.
Carpathian debuted domestically exactly 12 months ago, with the range currently at 13 expressions, including limited editions, all with a 46% ABV.
