WhistlePig Whiskey’s WhistlePig The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific rye whiskey

The eighth bottling in WhistlePig’s ‘The Boss Hog’ series is named after a “Filipino hero” from the 16th Century
  • American whiskey, rye, matured in Vermont for “nearly” 18 years, then two finishing stages in ex-Philippine rum barrels. 52.4% ABV
  • Hitting the UK off-premise, through specialist spirits retailers, next week
  • SRP of GBP675 [US$852] per bottle, available in limited, albeit unspecified, numbers

Diageo’s Talisker 30 Year Old 2023 edition single malt

Matured in American oak refill casks, this year’s version of the Skye-based brand’s annual 30-year-old expression was bottled in 2022
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Islands, 30 years old, 49.6% ABV [cask strength]
  • Rolling out globally to specialist off-premise operators this month
  • In the US, SRP of US$1,099 per 75cl bottle, limited to 561 units in the market and to 3,195 worldwide

Campari Group’s Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Voyage Bourbon

This year’s expression from Wild Turkey’s annual Master’s Keep series sees Campari Group bring its Appleton Estate rum into play
  • American whiskey, Bourbon, ten years old, finished for an unspecified period in ex-rum casks from Campari’s Appleton Estate distillery in Jamaica, 53% ABV
  • Rolling out nationwide in the US next month to selected off-premise operators
  • SRP of US$275 per 75cl, available in limited, albeit unspecified, numbers

International Beverage’s Ancnoc Sherry Cask Finish, Peated Edition and Peatheart Batch 3 single malts

Sherry Cask Finish [left] is a permanent line extension for Ancnoc, while Peatheart Batch 3 comes three years after Batch 2 and six years after Batch 1
  • Scotch whisky, single malts, Highlands. Both use peat-smoked barley, neither carry age statements. Sherry Cask Finish is finished for an unspecified period in ex-Sherry casks, Peatheart Batch 3 has been matured in ex-Bourbon casks
  • Debuting in the UK next week ahead of release to “other global markets, including Asia, Europe and Canada” later this year
  • In the UK, SRPs of GBP40 [US$51] and GBP55, respectively, per 70cl bottle. Peatheart limited to 27,630 units

Sovereign Brands Villon Cognac/liqueur

Sovereign Brands, in which Pernod Ricard is a “significant” – but still minority – shareholder, is bringing its Villon liqueur brand to the UK
  • Liqueur, Cognac-based, 40% ABV
  • Extending to the UK this week, online through Amazon and Master of Malt as well as in selected on-premise outlets
  • Online SRP of GBP37.99 [US$48.20] per 70cl bottle

Brush Creek Distillery’s Heroes Edition Straight Bourbon

Four years since commencing operations, Wyoming-based Brush Creek is debuting a new line of single-barrel, small-batch Bourbons
  • American whiskey, Bourbon, distilled and matured in Indiana then matured further in Wyoming, 50% ABV
  • Launched next week “in time for the 4 July holiday” to the on- and off-premise in Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Texas and Wyoming
  • SRP of US$175 per 75cl bottle, limited to 210 units

International Beverage Holdings’ Caorunn Cask Aged Gin

The gin spent an unspecified period in Spanish oak casks at InerBev’s Balmenach distillery in Speyside
  • Gin, Scotland, botanical mix includes five that were foraged in a “ten-minute radius” of the distillery [11 botanicals in total], 56% ABV
  • Available since last week on the brand’s website
  • SRP of GBP45 [US$57] per 70cl bottle, limited to 797 units

Whisky Partners’ Limited Whisky 1995 Tobermory single malt Scotch

Limited’s monthly single-cask concept continues, this time with a 27-year-old iteration from Tobermory
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Islands, 27 years old, matured in an ex-Bourbon hogshead. 53.4% ABV
  • Dropping next week on the brand’s website
  • SRP of GBP198 [US$252] per 70cl bottle, limited to 249 units

De Kuyper Royal DIstillers’ De Kuyper Ready to Serve Cocktails

All of the six-strong line of pre-mix cocktails flavours of the De Kuyper liqueur brand as their base alcohol
  • RTDs, premix cocktails, between 12 and 14.5% ABV
  • Released this week in the Netherlands ahead of a wider – unspecified markets – expansion
  • SRP of EUR11.99 [US$13.10] per 50cl bottle. Range comprises Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan, Piña Colada, Passionfruit Martini and Clover Club

Santo Spirits’ Santo Tequila Añejo

Four years after launching with a blanco, Santo Tequila now has an añejo expression in its ranks. The brand was co-founded by musician Sammy Hagar, who sold his Cabo Wabo Tequila brand to Campari Group earlier this Century
  • Tequila, añejo, aged for “an average of” two years in ex-American whiskey casks, 40% ABV
  • Rolling out to the US off-premise this week, also available online in the country. International markets include Canada, Japan, Mexico and South Africa
  • SRP of $74.98 per 75cl bottle

Down Island Spirits’ Martinique SJ 2017, Brazil 2011 single cask rums

Bottles of two new launches from Down Island Spirits
Miami-based Down Island Spirits has sourced two more rums to add to its four-strong portfolio
  • Rums, single casks. The Martinique expression is an agricole rum aged in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled in Florida, ABV of 57.9%. The Brazil iteration was matured for six years in Amburana wood barrels, then for another six years in American oak casks, 55.1% ABV
  • Available from this week in the US – initially online and in Florida and Massachusetts with California, New York and Texas coming on stream later this year
  • SRPs for both of $95 per 70cl bottle
