Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 24 April.

Cotswolds Distillery’s Cotswolds Coronation Cask single malt English whisky

The expression, which commemorates the coronation of King Charles III next month, uses barley grown locally to the English distiller
  • English whisky, single malt, five years old, 55.6% ABV
  • Released next week in the UK, available from Cotswolds Distillery’s website
  • SRP of GBP125 [US$156] per 70cl bottle. Limited to 175 units

InchDairnie Distillery’s RyeLaw single-grain Scotch

RyeLaw is the debut expression from InchDairnie, which is based in Fife, distilled from 53% malted rye and 47% malted barley
  • Scotch whisky, single grain, six years old, 46.3% ABV
  • Release this week in the UK, initially in high-end off-premise outlets including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols as well as through specialist spirits retailers
  • SRP of GBP110 [US$137] per 70cl bottle. Limited to 200 casks

Ian Macleod Distillers’ Glengoyne 15 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch

The expression is a permanent addition to the Glengoyne portfolio and contains single malt matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and -Sherry casks
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Highland, 15 years old, 43% ABV
  • Rolled out to the US off-premise earlier this month
  • SRP of US$129.99 per 75cl bottle

Moët Hennessy’s Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate single malt

Like its predecessors, the third in the single-estate series uses barley grown on Cadboll Estate, ten miles east of the Glenmorangie distillery
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Highland, 15 years old, 43% ABV
  • Exclusive to the UK, on sale through the Glenmorangie website from this week before rolling out to off-premise spirits specialists in the market early next month
  • SRP of GBP75 [US$93] per 70cl bottle

Michter’s Distillery’s Michter’s 10 Year Rye American whiskey

The 2023 bottling of the ten-year-old rye whiskey follows last year’s, which was unveiled in July
  • American whiskey, straight rye, Kentucky, 46.4% ABV
  • Released this week in the US, unit numbers not available
  • SRP of US$200 per 75cl bottle

Bacardi’s Patrón El Cielo Tequila

The latest expression from Bacardi’s Patrón Tequila brand claims to be the first Tequila to market that has been distilled four times
  • Tequila. The liquid starts as a silver Tequila that is then distilled a fourth time. 40% ABV
  • Released worldwide this week
  • In the US, SRP of US$129 per 75cl bottle

Zamora Co’s Cocktail 43 Coco Milk

The dairy-free RTD will sit alongside Zamora Co’s Cocktail 43 Milk, which was released in Germany two years ago
  • RTD, using Zamora’s Licor 43 liqueur as its base, blended with coconut milk, 10% ABV
  • Extending to Germany this month in the country’s off-premise channel
  • SRP of EUR2.89 [US$3.20] per 25cl can

Kings County Distillery’s Coffee Whiskey

Positioned as a “high-end alternative to the standard coffee mixer, the expression is the result of a partnership with Parlor Coffee, also based in New York
  • American whiskey, flavoured, 40% ABV
  • Went on sale last week at the distillery in Brooklyn, rolling out across the US this month
  • SRP “in the mid-US$40 range”

Gordon & MacPhail’s The Private Collection 1948 single malt

Gordon & MacPhail will donate the sales from one bottle to The Prince’s Foundation
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, 74 years old. From Glen Grant distillery [Speyside], 50.4% ABV
  • Available in the UK from this week, commemorating the coronation of King Charles III on 6 May
  • SRP of GBP25,000 [US$31,100] per bottle, limited to 281 units

Luxco’s Blood Oath Pact 9 Bourbon

This year’s ‘Pact’ bottling is a seven-year-old Bourbon that’s been finished in casks from Spain’s Sherry region
  • American whiskey, Bourbon. A blend of a 16-year-old and a 12-year-old ryed Bourbon with a seven-year-old ryed Bourbon finished in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. 49.3% ABV
  • Released to the US off-premise this month
  • SRP of US$129.99 per 75cl bottle, limited to 51,000 units, 1.400 of which will feature in a ‘Trilogy Pack’ with Pacts 7 and 8 next year

Barrell Craft Spirits’ ‘Private Release’ Rye whiskies

Among the ten rye whiskies to join Barrell’s Private Release series is this iteration that has been finished in an ex-Tokaji barrel from Hungary
  • Whiskey, rye, sourced from Canada and Indiana, no age statement, all cask strength. Ten expressions, each finished in different barrels/casks
  • On sale in the US through Barrell Craft Spirits’ website
  • SRPs of US$109.99 per 75cl bottle. Each whiskey is limited to between 150 and 180 units
