Edrington takes control of Wyoming Whiskey

Edrington has acquired majority ownership of Wyoming Whiskey, five years after initially buying into the US craft distiller. The UK-based group, which owns The Macallan and The Famous Grouse Scotch whisky brands, has upped its stake in the American whiskey producer from 35% to 80%. Financial details were not disclosed as Wyoming Whiskey transitions from Edrington's 'Partnership Brands' division to the 'Estate Brands' unit.
