Amber Beverage Group has recruited a senior executive from rival Stock Spirits to head up the operations side of the business.
The group, which owns brands including Moskovskaya vodka, Kah Tequila and The Irishman whiskey, has appointed Ewan MacLean as its COO. According to Amber, MacLean has moved across from Stock, where he has been group operations director since 2009. MacLean’s LinkedIn profile, however, states he left the multi-spirits-category brand owner in April 2021 to go freelance as an “international supply chain & manufacturing operations executive”.

When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a spokesperson for Amber confirmed the COO position has been newly-created with CEO Jekaterina Stuģe having previously assumed responsibility for “production and supply chain processes”.
Just over two months ago, Amber, which is a sister company to – but operates separately from – Stoli vodka brand owner Stoli Group, called time on its Canadian distribution arrangement with Mark Anthony Group after almost ten years.
