Start-up brand Body Vodka has secured a distribution arrangement in its native US with Next Century Spirits.
The tie-up for the 30%-ABV ‘light’ vodka will focus on 11 states in the country for the coming six months. Among the markets in Body’s sights are California, Florida, New York and Texas.
The news comes barely two months after the brand, which retails at US$24.99 per 75cl bottle, was launched by founder Jilly Hendrix.
North Carolina-based Next Century, which also has its own portfolio of brands, hit the headlines in September, teaming with Fox to unveil the TruthTeller 1839 Bourbon, created around a character in the TV company’s ‘Monarch’ country music-themed drama series. The company also tapped three former Beam Suntory, Diageo and Pernod Ricard executives to join its management team in July.
