Rémy Cointreau has unveiled an ‘on-the-go’ pack format for its high-end Louis XIII Cognac brand in the US.
Dubbed ‘The Drop’, the concept comprises five 1cl bottles of the Cognac that can be carried individually when away from the home. The format has been designed “to exhilarate the next generation of connoisseurs and introduce them to the legacy of the heritage brand”, according to Rémy.

Details of the availability of, and SRPs for, the five-bottle set and holder were not immediately available, although the bottles are available in the UK for GBP160 (US$192) each and GBP750 for all five. A 75cl decanter of Louis XIII retails in the US for around US$4,000.
In results for the six months to the end of September, announced late last month, Rémy noted strong rises in sales for its Cognac business, which is dominated by Rémy Martin, in mainland China and the US. Group sales for the first half of fiscal-2023 were up 21.1% on a year-on-year basis, and by 54.6% on the corresponding six months in 2019, prior to the global arrival of the pandemic.
