The head of ‘International’ operations at Beam Suntory is set to leave the group, prompting a shift of regional leads that also includes ‘North America’ and ‘Europe, the Middle East & Africa’.

Pryce Greenow joined the Jim Beam owner back in 2005, becoming president of the international reporting region five years ago. Following his “personal decision to leave Beam Suntory at the end of January”, confirmed today, the company has persuaded Yuri Grebenkin, currently MD for EMEA & South America, to replace Greenow.

Details on the next EMEA/South America MD were not immediately available.

Elsewhere, a role switch has been lined up between the North America president, Greg Hughes, and president of brands Jessica Spence. Hughes, whose new job title will be chief growth & brands officer, has been with the group since mid-2015, and NA lead for four years, while Spence joined from Carlsberg in late 2019.

The swap takes effect at the start of 2023.

Rounding off the personnel changes this week is David Hunter, who will retire at the end of January as global supply chain officer. His successor will be confirmed “at a later date”.

A further internal adjustment will see Oceania fold into Beam Suntory’s ‘Asia Pacific’ reporting region, with Mexico moving from ‘North America’ to ‘International’ in order to “leverage the team’s expertise in building successful emerging markets”.

Last month, the group completed the move of its corporate headquarters from Chicago to New York.
