California’s Bespoken Spirits has appointed a former Angostura Spirits & Wine and Illva Saronno executive to become its CEO.
Peter Iglesias will join the spirit-finishing company, building on his 18 years of experience in the industry. Starting with rum producer Flor de Caña in the US in 2004, Iglesias spent almost two years with Angostura followed by just under six years with Saronno.
He joins Bespoken from Royal Dutch Distillers, where he had been chief operating officer for the US since 2016.

Details of who Iglesias has replaced as CEO were not immediately available.
Coinciding with the appointment, which took effect last month, the company has also recruited Jim Brennan, formerly senior VP for marketing & innovation in the US for Edrington, to head up its marketing team.
As well as third-party operations, Bespoken owns a namesake spirits brand that features Bourbons, a rye whiskey and a rum.
