North Carolina’s Piedmont Distillers has started the US roll-out of 1.75-litre bag-in-box packs for the three 35%-ABV flavoured extensions of its Midnight Moon moonshine brand.
The trio, comprising Watermelon, Lightning Lemonade and Apple Pie variants, are available nationwide under the banner ‘Party in a Box’. Available in 30 states, the extension, which equates to 2.3 750ml bottles, sits alongside Midnight Moon, which, with an ABV of 50%, is sold in screw-lidded jars.
Midnight Moon Party in a Box can also be purchased online at the brand’s website, although the SRP for the range was not immediately available.
Moonshine is best described as a ‘white whiskey’.
Piedmont Distillers, which claims to be the first legal distillery in North Carolina, commenced operations in 2007.
