Cuervo has turned its attention to the Classic Margarita Mix SKU from Tequila flagship Jose Cuervo.
The cocktail mix extension is the subject of a relaunch in the coming months that also includes a recipe change. A packaging update headlines the project, rolling out to Australia in October ahead of Europe, the Middle East & Africa two months later.
Specific details of the recipe change, driven by “in-depth customer research”, were not disclosed.
Cuervo has continued to perform well, building on a strong 2020 when the lockdown-led cocktails-at-home trend results in healthy Tequila sales. In the six months to the end of June this year, the company’s sales rose by 22% compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
