Bacardi has increased the on-premise presence of its premixed cocktail brand Tails in Western Europe.
The privately-owned group, which completed the full acquisition of UK-based Tails in late-2020, has added two extensions to the Tails Cocktails Professional line. The new flavours, Whisky Sour – which uses Bacardi’s Dewar’s blended Scotch as its base – and Rum Punch – sourced from the namesake rum – go on sale this week across Western Europe’s on-premise channel.
Available in 1-litre bottles, the pair join the Passion Fruit Martini and Espresso Martini premixes (both made with 42Below vodka), the Gin Garden Cocktail (which uses Bombay Dry gin and St-Germain liqueur) and the Classic and Berry Mojitos (both with Bacardi rum).
Marketing activity at around 20 festivals in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK this summer will promote the additions.
The Tails Cocktails Professional portfolio also features kegs that contain Passion Fruit Spritz (42 Below) and Classic Mojito and Caribbean Punch (Bacardi rum).
According to Bacardi, “serving a Tails cocktail takes as little as 15 seconds, and no specialist training is required”. The group turned the brand’s attention to the ‘cocktails at home’ trend in March with five premixes launching in the off-premise in six European markets as well as in Australia.
