US start-up Buzzbox has strengthened the sustainability cues for the packaging of its namesake line of premixed cocktails.
The range, which is joined this week by Buzzbox Tequila Paloma, will retain its Tetra Pak paper-based cartons but is ditching the plastic straw. Instead, the California-based company will employ ‘Dreamcap’, Tetra Pak’s resealable screw cap that is made from plastic derived from sugar cane.
Retailing at around US$12.99 per four-pack, the “premium” premixes are available in 250ml cartons, rather than the 200ml packaging previously employed.
The Buzzbox portfolio, which is available in 11 US states including California and Texas, comprises:
- Bloody Mary
- Mardi Gras Hurricane
- Classic Cosmo
- Whiskey Lemonade
- Tequila Paloma
- Cuban Mojito
- Vodka Lemonade
- Perfect Margarita
- Long Island and
- Classic Greyhound
