Who to see at ProWein 2025 – Preview, Part I

With around 5,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, ProWein returns to Düsseldorf on 16-18 March.

ProWein brings together the global wine and spirits industry for three days of discovery, networking and business opportunities. With around 5,000 exhibitors, the event is a hub for professionals seeking everything from fine wines and champagnes to craft spirits and emerging beverage trends. Exclusive tastings, insightful masterclasses and a focus on innovation make it an essential destination for buyers, distributors and experts.

As ProWein 2025 approaches, here’s what to expect from the standout exhibitors shaping the future of the industry.

BBC Spirits – Hall 5 Stand H09

BBC Spirits will present its latest innovations and global growth strategy. The spotlight will be on Etsu Gin; a range of Japanese gins crafted with traditional techniques and modern precision.

Attendees will also get an exclusive first look at “upcoming product launches”, expanding the company’s premium portfolio. In addition, BBC Spirits will highlight its “strategic market expansion”, focusing on new partnerships and distribution growth in key international markets.

Beveland – Hall 5 Stand G55

Beveland will be introducing AIGin, a ground-breaking gin co-created with artificial intelligence. This innovative release blends tradition with technology, using AI to refine botanical selection, optimise distillation, and craft a distinctive flavour profile. AIGin features a juniper base infused with lavender, hibiscus, and lychee, delivering natural sweetness without added sugars.

Beyond the recipe, AI has influenced every aspect of AIGin, from naming and branding to sustainable packaging and pricing strategies. The launch represents Beveland’s commitment to innovation, offering a gin that redefines contemporary spirits while staying true to craftsmanship and consumer preferences.

Clonakilty Distillery – Hall 5 Stand J17

Ireland-based Clonakilty Distillery will showcase its award-winning namesake single pot still Irish whiskey, fully matured in ex-bourbon and -amontillado sherry casks – winner of Double Gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Whiskey Awards.

The distillery will also present its range of blended whiskeys, crafted with Clonakilty Single Pot Still and premium Irish grain whiskey. Rooted in tradition and shaped by the Atlantic coast, Clonakilty’s whiskey remains in keeping with a spirit of innovation passed down through nine generations of the Scully family.

Heineken Beverages International – Hall 12 Stand B100

Heineken Beverages International (HBI) will showcase its commitment to sustainability and innovation alongside its diverse wine portfolio. Key highlights include the upcycling of cellar effluent water for irrigation, supporting regenerative farming and hybrid vine planting, with Nederburg pioneering disease-resistant varieties in South Africa.

HBI will also host an expert session with Andrea Freeborough on 18 March at 11:00 CET, exploring sustainable viticulture and water management strategies. Drop by the stand to discover how innovation is shaping the future of wine.

Diwisa – Hall 5 K44

Diwisa will be introducing a refreshed design for Trojka Vodka & Liqueurs, offering a new visual identity for the well-known Swiss brand. Alongside this update, the distiller will presents its latest craft spirits, including Goldwäscher Rye Whisky and Marito Aperitivo, a herbal-lemony spirit suited for spritz cocktails.

Established brands such as Xellent will also be available for tasting. With a balance of “tradition and innovation”, Diwisa continues to expand its portfolio of premium Swiss spirits.

Douglas Laing – Hall 7 A07

Glasgow-based Douglas Laing will showcase a selection of its premium scotch whiskies, highlighting its ‘remarkable regional malts’ – a multi-award-winning range representing Scotland’s whisky regions with six distinct bottlings, all non-chill-filtered and free from added colouring.

In addition to the core line-up, the presentation will feature limited editions, including Strathearn Single Malt, and highlights from the Specialist Selection, offering a “diverse exploration of craftsmanship and regional character”.

El Supremo Rum – Hall 7 Stand B31

On display at the trade show this year will be El Supremo 18-Year-Old Rum, which has been aged for nearly two decades. This premium Paraguayan rum undergoes a unique “double-cask process” in incienso marrón and French oak, developing a rich profile of “deep berry notes, refined oak, and delicate spice”.

As the most prestigious expression in the El Supremo range, the 18-year-old stands as a testament to the brand’s dedication to tradition and innovation in premium rum-making.

Ferrari Trento – Hall 16 Stand D68

Grupo Lunelli’s Ferrari Trento will showcase its prestigious collection of Trentodoc sparkling wines. The company will highlight its signature ranges, including Linea Classica, Perlé and Gran Cuvée, offering a taste of Italian excellence and craftsmanship.

Additionally, visitors can explore Linea Riserve, the aged cuvées and the exclusive limited-edition labels. With a focus on premium sparkling wines, Ferrari Trento invites attendees to experience their legacy of creating its renowned bubbles.

Hardenberg-Wilthen – Hall 5 Stand A35

Hardenberg-Wilthen highlights Hardenberg Club Whiskey and Schwartzhog Kräuter Liqueur, showcasing tradition. Schwartzhog Kräuter Liqueur, meanwhile, combines herbs, fruits, roots and vermouth for a smooth, subtly citrus profile, ideal for cocktails like its very own Schwartzhog Mule.

The Hardenberg Club Whiskey range – Triple Malt, Straight Wheat and Straight Rye – is crafted from estate-grown grains and aged in oak barrels, some of which are over 250 years old. With a 300-year distilling heritage, Hardenberg-Wilthen’s stand is worth a visit.

Hayman’s of London – Hall 5 Stand L35

Hayman’s will present its range of London-distilled gins, including its distinctive gift-wrap collection. With over five generations of expertise, the company continues to produce gin using its original family recipe. As a recognised name in the industry, Hayman’s remains committed to tradition while introducing new developments.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the latest updates and learn more about the brand’s approach to gin production and innovation.
