This year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, which commenced on Sunday (10 May) and runs until Thursday 14 May, comes at a challenging time for the region’s global travel retail channel. Show organiser TFWA has risen to the challenge by moving beyond the show’s traditional stand set-up at the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore toward a more experiential, category-led format.
The biggest shake-up for 2026 is the show’s redesigned floor plan. The exhibition will now feature category-focused ‘Worlds’, with the ‘World of Wines & Spirits’ located in Basement 2, allowing drinks buyers to meet with exhibitors more efficiently than before. Meanwhile, the ‘World of Innovation’ will offer visitors the chance to see how smart packaging and digital storytelling will impact the world of duty-free spirits in the years ahead.
At the time of writing, some 59 wine and spirits companies were attending — here’s a sneak peek of just some of what they will have on offer.
Beluga Vodka – Stand U6
Noblewood Group will present attendees with its full range of Beluga vodka and Oyster gin (above), a super-premium gin infused with herbs and botanicals native to the Adriatic. In addition to the core Beluga range, which comprises Beluga Noble, Gold Line, Celebration, Transatlantic Racing, Allure and the Botanicals collection, the trade will get a first look at Beluga Transatlantic Navy Blue, a limited edition targeted at the cruise channel.
“This expression speaks directly to the travel-driven consumer seeking exclusive products and new experiences on board,” says head of travel retail Vladimir Poriadin. “It’s a growing and strategically important segment for us in the Asia Pacific region.”
Bickford’s Group – Stand E6
Bickford’s Group is bringing a taste of Australia to the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, where a key focus will be the Adelaide company’s three new Real McCoy’s flavoured whiskey liqueur expressions – Buttered Popcorn, Salted Caramel (above) and Cinnamon Doughnut – aimed at the sweet-toothed traveller.
Produced by Bickford’s sister company, Vok Beverages, the flavours are bottled at 30% ABV and can be enjoyed in cocktails, chilled shots or straight pours. Other key brands in the Vok portfolio include Beenleigh Artisan Distillers rum, Bearded Lady bourbon and Beresford Estate wine.
Bottega – Stand V2
No- & low-alcohol will be the key focus for family-owned Italian wine and spirits producer Bottega Spa, with the company boasting over 20 years of research and development in this now fast-growing category. Sparkling wines Bottega 0 White (above) and Bottega 0 Rosé will be among the key 0%-ABV launches in Singapore, alongside Limoncino 0.0 Bottega, a new lemon-based non-alcoholic drink, and Elixir Amaro 0% Bottega, an alcohol-free bitter.
Bottega, best known for its grappas and prosecco wines, will also unveil its first foray into the world of whisky at the show with three new Whisky Alexander expressions: Red Wines Cask finish, Brunello Cask finish and Amarone Cask finish, bottled at 40%, 43% and 46% ABV, respectively.
Campari Global Travel Retail – Stand W27
Campari Group’s GTR division will focus on the Glen Grant single malt brand, a fresh, floral whisky known for its tall, slender stills and part of the company’s portfolio since 2006. The unit will also unveil the distillery’s first channel-exclusive range, The Glen Grant Wanderlust Collection (above), which consists of three expressions: Aurora (40% ABV), 13yo (43% ABV) and 16yo Non Chill Filtered (46% ABV), all inspired by the pioneering journey of founder James Grant.
A high-profile promotional campaign will support the launch across key Asian hub airports, including Singapore Changi, Hainan (China), South Korea and Hong Kong.
Choya – Stand X1
The GTR strategy for Japanese plum (umeshu) liqueur brand Choya this year centres on strengthening brand value and accelerating premiumisation, with a broader focus not solely on Chinese travellers, but other Asian nationalities, as well as markets in Oceania and Europe. The company has won new channel listings in countries such as Germany, Canada and Australia.
Choya is introducing a new GTR-exclusive umeshu liqueur (above) this year, bottled at a higher strength of 25% ABV compared to the 14% to 17% ABV found in the company’s other liqueurs. The extension is designed both to unlock cocktail occasions while remaining enjoyable on its own.
GMAX Travel Retail – Stand X18
The UK duty-free drinks distributor has recently signed an agreement to represent Ardnamurchan Distillery in the channel, and the Scottish craft distillery’s first GTR expression, Ardnamurchan Fascadale Highland Single Malt (above), will take pride of place on the GMAX stand in Singapore. Bottled at 50% ABV, Fascadale is a blend of peated and unpeated whiskies, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured.
Au Vodka remains GMAX’s flagship brand, but other spirits on show include award-winning London Dry Ramsbury Gin, UK craft rum V Rum, French gin Palmaráe (which is distilled using Moroccan botanicals) and the accessibly-positioned UK Nice Wine range.
Henkell Freixenet – Stand X6
The world’s largest sparkling wine group has laid out its ambition for the Asian GTR channel clearly: to grow its presence at strategic hub airports in the region, develop its presence in the Asian cruise market, and win listings onboard major Asian carriers.
In Singapore, Henkell Freixenet will look to tap into the growing popularity of the aperitivo moment in Asia, with the launch of the convenient Mionetto Orange Spritz RTS and Aperitivo Freixenet Solare range, with both lines available in alcoholic and non-alc versions. The company will also unveil the Freixenet Diamond Alcohol-Free (above) sparkling wine range and 5cl formats for Mionetto Aperitivo and Freixenet Solare, the latter targeted at the in-flight sector.
La Martiniquaise-Bardinet – Stand Z8
Despite being one of the top ten-selling scotch whiskies globally – and one of France’s favourite brand – Label 5 has never featured a dedicated expression for travellers. That’s changing in Singapore, with the launch of the whisky’s first channel-exclusive: Label 5 8-Year-Old (above). A blend of selected grain and malt whiskies, the iteration is matured in a combination of ex-American bourbon and Spanish oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 41.2% ABV.
Priced at GBP30 (US$40) per bottle, Label 5 8-Year-Old will become the brand’s flagship GTR expression, and will roll out to travel retail markets worldwide following its debut in Singapore.
Liviko – Stand W15
Estonian spirits producer Liviko will highlight a Crafter’s gin line extension in Singapore, which was first unveiled at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last October. Priced at around US$35, Crafter’s Infinite Citrus Gin (above) is based around the concept of “infinite citrus”, boasting eight citrus botanicals among a total of 11.
The company will also showcase the brand’s 25cl RTD can line, which includes Crafter’s London Dry Gin & Tonic, Caribba Rum & Cola, Cooler Sour Apple and Cooler Dark Cherry. Finally, Liviko will present Tripsy, an alcohol-free functional mushroom drink, marking the company’s move into the fast-growing mindful consumption space.
Maison Ferrand – Stand Z6
Maison Ferrand returns to TFWA Asia Pacific after a decade’s absence, so rather than focus on new products, the company will present buyers with its core product range, which includes Planteray XO Rum, Citadelle Gin (above), Ferrand Cognac and Canerock Rum.
“In travel retail, we believe consistency matters as much as innovation,” says global communications manager Andreina Dunne. “These are products that tell a story, that people remember, and that work well in an environment where discovery and gifting go hand in hand.”
Radico Khaitan – Stand Y21
India’s Radico Khaitan will present attendees with the final two releases of its eight-expression Rampur Jugalbandi Indian single malt whisky range, No.7 (above) and No.8, a series designed to showcase the marriage of different cask types in a jugalbandi (duet) style. Both expressions will be priced at around US$400.
Also new on the Radico Khaitan stand will be Rampur 1943 Virasat, the company’s newly launched Indian single malt matured in American bourbon barrels and then finished in ruby port pipes, priced at $70, and The Spirit of Kashmyr, billed as a “luxury” Indian vodka, with an SRP of $35.
Siberian Express Vodka – Stand W19
Kazakhstan’s Solex Group will showcase its super-premium vodka Siberian Express (above), having recently secured a breakthrough GTR listing at Mumbai International with Ospree Duty Free, where a wall bay has been installed offering consumers an “immersive” brand experience.
According to the head of export marketing at Solex, Kristina Kalmykova, the vodka offers something new to the consumer in the overcrowded super-premium category. Crafted in Kazakh Siberia, Siberian Express is made with local ingredients, seven times small-batch distilled and undergoes 15 stages of filtration.
Tilaknagar Industries – Stand U21
Indian IMFL producer Tilaknagar Industries is hoping to grow its Asian duty-free footprint at TFWA Asia Pacific by focusing on its premium House of TI collection of Indian spirits. The line-up includes the Indo-Scottish Seven Islands Pure Malt whisky (above), Monarch Legacy Edition, a 100% grape, Indo–French brandy, as well as three craft brands from the Tilaknagar’s investee company, Spaceman Spirits Lab: Samsara Gin, Sitara Rum and Amara Vodka.
